I wish I could be more supportive, but it seems like the opposition is extremely varied. Sometimes I wonder if these lawyers are like some of the secular/democratically inclined Iranian intellectuals who backed the Ayatollah Khomeini’s return as a symbol of resistence (not thinking that he might have his own idea what post-Shah Iran would look like).
