[Rachel] Roy… is half Indian and half Dutch and grew up in Seaside, California, near Santa Cruz… Roy, 31, helms the juniors division of Rocawear, [Damon] Dash’s hugely successful clothing line, and a collection of elegant women’s clothing under her own name has just arrived at Bergdorf Goodman…
Dash and Roy met at a boxing match. “When I saw her, I was like, Damn! … Me and Heavy D were wrestling to get to her. And she was acting like she didn’t see me…” [Link]
Being part Dutch, she could be from Suriname or Bandra, where scores of Dutch folk seem to have taken up permanent residence 
Hip-hopreneur Damon Dash cofounded Roc-A-Fella Records with Jay-Z and discovered Kanye West (I ain’t sayin’ she’s a gold-digger…). Roy and Dash are married with a daughter, Ava. Interview here. Rachel Roy actually looks pretty in the rest of the other pix in comparsion to the first one, where the lipstick does not suit her much.

Is it me or does Rachel Roy look an awful lot like Aaliyah in most of these pics? Hmmm!!! I guess Aaliyah is gone but apparently not forgotten. We miss her too Dame.
I had the pleasure of interning for Damon and Rachel. They are both pleasant, and these are great photos. I admire Damon’s business drive and Rachel’s elegant taste in fashion. I wish them the best
