Burrp

Burrp is an Indian city guide which publishes reader-contributed reviews. Their guide to Bombay bars and restaurants just went live.

As y’all know, Flickr puckishly claims to be in gamma, which is the successor to a beta version:

Now Burrp has taken the convention and Hindified it. Devanagari in the house, yo.

This isn’t their ‘alpha,’ it’s their ‘ka.’ Love it! And you thought desis had taken over the Valley back when networking startups were named, like Indian taxicabs, after daughters and wives.

Such a better name than Yelp! Especially the by-line.

Glad to know that you guys like our release naming convention. Our next version is infact going to be called ‘“ख” - Kha :-) Hope you got a chance to check out the product.
