I (heart) Shiva hosts a bimonthly Bollywood night in Seattle that does something I have yet to see in any other city (including NY): it gets the races mixing. Or rather, it gets them all rubbing against each other like they were on a train in India and then, it gets them dancing… (more)
Project Kashmir is an upcoming documentary directed by two South Asian American women, one Hindu and the other Muslim, who snuck into Kashmir to uncover what’s really happening in the war-zone. Produced with support from the Sundance Institute, Hartley Film Foundation… (more)
There are of course many other noteworthy things that deserve descriptions ending with ellipses, but I can’t list them all here (however, I would like to say that today all the kids in my neighborhood were in love with Jaspreet because he decided it was unfair to make children pay for Slurpees on such a hot day…)
