‘Chaos Theory’ reading Monday
Aasif Mandvi, Rita Wolf and Rajesh Bose star in a staged reading of one of my favorite not-love stories, my friend Anuvab’s wordplay romance Chaos Theory. Wolf and Bose have done a reading of this play before:
Chaos Theory begins at Delhi University in 1965 and traces the lives of Sunita Sen and Mukesh Singh as they become students in the U.S. and then professors in American universities. It is an unrequited love story which traces the eras, the loves, the words and events which shape the lives of these two people. Sunita and Mukesh dwell in an intellectual world of books and subtexts, yet feel much more for each other than they can or will express.
Here’s an excerpt from the play. Check it out.
Chaos Theory reading, Mon. Apr. 16, 7pm, Guild Art USA, 45 W. 21st St./5th/6th Aves, 2nd floor, sponsored by IAAC, director: Alexa Kelly, wine reception to follow, $5 suggested donation, RSVP to iaac@iaac.us or 212.594.3685

when I read about choas theory in ur vij website I thought it was a great dialogue between an bookish intellectual professor and an uninspired modern day student.. I didnot even think that it was a kind of love story, the intellectual kind between two professors dwelling in world of books..
too bad its in NY…sounds like my kind of love story..
Is the play still going on in NY or is it just a reading? Dont I wish the play came to Indy..Is there any place we can read the script of the play..Dont mind paying for it online to just read the script, kind of online pay per view play instead of going to theatre like pay per view online movies…
