    The entire Gangster soundtrack is copied from something else.
    And every song is better than the original.
    I can’t help but like it, even though only one song was credited in the liner notes (the song from a fellow Bengali, of course) … hmm…

    I hear that Pritam got in quite a bit of trouble over this Ya Ali stuff… because the rights to the Guitarra song are held by the crown prince of Saudi Arabia or something. But I think the main effect of this is that the original Ya Ghaly has been popularized even further in India, appearing in its original form on tons of “various artists” CDs for sale in Planet M.

    I’ve said this before - sampling = good. Clearing your samples = even better. And sure, this isn’t sampling in the traditional sense, but if Bollywood is going to go the “inspired” route… make it legit.
