On what must be the slowest news day in the world, the NYT covers care packages for soldiers, telling us that chicken pasta is vegetarian. In what world? Chinatown?

Reading this story is like hearing about Hillary Clinton baking cookies — you’d think there wasn’t a major military scandal going on. But I do like the image of tea-drinking American soldiers. After all, we came to blows over a spot of tea in Boston Harbor:
