Jagged little pill
In case you didn’t see the comment, here’s comedian Tracey Ullman as Padma Perkish selling Indian V1&gra (thanks, shlok):
And here’s her music vid for ‘They Don’t Know.’ The video was an ‘83 hit (seriously) and features a Paul McCartney cameo at the very end:

Faaaaaaaaabulous!!!
I missed it the first time. Thanks for re-posting. It’s funny. I LOL’ed. About time someone mocked the sameness of Bollywood songs-and-dances. But she’s also mocking the whole idea of geriatric sex and medicated erections. About time too.
And BTW, there really are a lot of Indian women working as pharmacists. Just not so much in the Northeast - but there are lots of them in the rural-ish Midwest and South.
And oh, I had no idea she made music videos in the 80s! I knew of her only from her show from back then, which I mostly liked.
I think she’s really talented.
I love Tracey. No one is safe from her ridicule. Have you seen her Renee Zellweger impersonation? The woman is a genius comedienne
Ah, the irony. wannabe pop star from 80s makes fun of bollywood cheesiness. Interesting.
I’m still a bit ambivalent about her Padma pharmacist bit, but, for the record, and revealing my advanced age, I am fairly certain that Ullman’s “They Don’t Know” was supposed to be tongue-in-cheek, even when it was released. Granted, it was hard to tell one way or the other in the 80s. ;)
Even after watching the entire thing, I did not believe you. Because of how I perceive Tracy, I thought this was a mock snl-like music video. Until I saw her performing the song being all serious. Look at that outfit! Ha!
“They Don’t Know” has got to be a parody (or Tracy’s version is done as a parody in this case, anyway). She straddles the bowling ball return machine and a ball rolls down it, for goodness’ sake. I don’t find the live version any less tongue-in-cheek - during the bridge, check out those half-arsed little kicks….
Beth no way dude. I was checking out youtube, and she has a lot more videos off the album (You hurt me in 17 places).
Terry, My Guy, Breakway (the best!) and Move Over Darlin.
Oh, unless by parody you meant like Al Yankovich. Then maybe. Regardless, she’s awesome. Natural born performer.
Most decidedly awesome.
