Jenna Bush scoops Booker

Jenna Bush cites her sources

Shocking the literary world, presidential daughter Jenna Bush won the Booker Prize today for her work Ana’s Story: A Journey of Hope. ‘I was, like, so surprised,’ beamed Bush, ‘especially since it’s nonfiction and we’re not from the Commonwealth. Any more.’ Her proud father said, ‘A certain facileness with language runs in the family,’ adding:

I personally believe that U.S. Americans are unable to do so because, uh, some people out there in our nation don’t have maps, and, uh, I believe that our education like such as in South Africa and, uh, the Iraq everywhere like, such as and I believe that they should, our education over here in the U.S. should help the U.S., uh, should help South Africa and should help the Iraq and the Asian countries, so we will be able to build up our future for our children.

Salman Rushdie was overheard grumbling about ‘foreigners taking what’s rightfully ours.’

Crestfallen

I find this very hard to believe. I’ve searched on the internet about Jenna Bush winnig for her book, and wasn’t successful. I’ll try the wire services now.
