‘Knocked Up’ in Madrid
El Próximo Oriente: Una Historia de Amor al Curry (The Near East: A Story From Love to Curry) is a Spanish rom-com about a guy who gets his Muslim girlfriend pregnant and grapples with the consequences. Have I mentioned that Spaniards love Bollywood?

How far would you go for a woman? CaÃÂn (Javier Cifrián) would go too far. Everything starts in the Madrid neighborhood of Lavapiés, where the bachelor CaÃÂn — fat, timid and with an inferiority complex — works as a butcher. His only family is his brother Abel (Asier Etxeandia), who has everything he wants (he’s handsome, married and has two beautiful twin daughters). The plot begins when Abel knocks up Aisha (Nur Al Levi), a beautiful Muslim neighbor, CaÃÂn decides to take care of the little one, and from all the problems this situation carries. |

Any film or book with desis and diaspora with references to curry in their title are still born to begin with. Looks absolutely cringeworthy. The ethnicity of the characters looks very clueless and crude too.
Why is the guy groping the girl in the poster………..naughty naughty :)
To whom does the hand that gropeth belong to? I have an eye for detail, no?
The dude surely loves his…mangoes :).
