Lord of the Paneer
Meet 12-year-old Anjay Ajodha from the Houston area, Kid Nation’s resident bandana boiler and cheese smith (paneer, anyone?).
In the show, the children try to create a functioning society in the town, including setting up a government system, with minimal adult help and supervision… [In the] Town Council Elections… Anjay… defeated Olivia… [Link]
As the youngest-ever finalist in the national spelling bee, he’s obviously a sop to the massive Indian-American geek demographic.
At 4:20, he lays the smack down on religious intolerance:
… they show Anjay praying to Durga sitting on a tiger… Either he is from a pretty religious family, or he has an excellent memory… So then the girls come to Anjay and ask… good-naturedly what Hinduism is and how many gods he prays to. Anjay, to his credit, is not defensive… they show the Korean girl do her version of Indian prayers and she seemed to get a kick out of it. I hope her church people won’t start fainting at that scene… there were a couple of atheists among the kids who had no problem expressing their views. [Link]
Anjay is adorable, and he name-checks Gandhi, but he’s a bit of a whiner. Remember, bro, there are no atheists in food fights:

The last clip couldnt be more hilarious if it was staged.

“that was really mature, anjay”
“i didnt do anything. but they threw it first at me”
“and then you threw it right back”.
“uunhh”

I saw this show first two weeks and loved the show..
I just love the idea…letting kids build their own society and live their own lives..they are pretty smart and manage to cook, handle all kinds of issues like adults…
Anjay is cute..
