Spirit world

Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak says in his biography iWoz that the first time he ever got drunk was on a flight to Sri Lanka:

… I didn’t even get drunk until I was thirty… It was on my first flight out of the United States to Sri Lanka. I was extremely scared on the plane so I was drinking.

What you need is arrack, my friend. Puts you right out.

… Arrack is mainly produced in Sri Lanka. It is generally distilled between 37% to 50% alcohol by volume (70 to 100 proof). [Link]

I’m dying to know how arrack compares to feni, raki and ouzo.

Goa produces another variation called “urrack” which, come to think of it, sounds close to “Arrack”

the cashew feni is pretty lethal… will try to personally try both the raki and ouzo on my upcoming travels.. hmm.. maybe i should turn the name into etoh tours and travels ;).

Kerala has it’s version of arrack called “pattu charayam”. It is currently banned as Kerala moves towards Prohibition.

Shortcuts in brewing techniques(animal remains, batttery cells, rags..etc are used to hasten fermentation) & adulteration of the product with methanol has led to death among consumers. Hence the name “killer brew”
