This shit is timely, T-I-M-E-L-Y

My Bombay ISP InCable is so incompetent, they just got around to blocking Blogspot and Typepad yesterday. The Airtel backbone, which is upstream from me, blocked the sites at the behest of the Indian government two weeks ago, so these sites were blocked for me then. That ban was finally lifted last Saturday.

But now the same ban seems to have been put in place by my own ISP. I look forward to them acting on the reversal memo some time in 2008. At this speed, I’m wondering whether the ISP is actually an arm of the government.

Out, out, brief access!
Blogspot’s but a walking shadow, a poor player
That struts and frets his hour upon the stage
And then is heard no more: it is a tale
Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury,
Signifying nothing. [Link]

Hathway also continues to block blogger and typepad. I can access the sites from work (where the network is plugged directly to the backbone), but not from home. The funny thing is hathway took its time IMPOSING the ban, and now is taking its time unbanning sites.
