Oh, God

photo1.jpgI regret to inform you that dancing-baby animation seems to have just hit certain parts of India and thus, we have this somewhat lackluster offering from Team Krishna @ Shethia Audio Video Pvt. Ltd.:

KRISHNA‘ a richly animated, musical feature film tells the story of Lord Krishna’s birth, his childhood spent in Vrindavan… [link]

And so on and so forth.  I hate to be dismissive, but frankly, most people know the story and since these guys are touting the film as ‘the first of its kind’ and such, I’m going to give it a hard time for taking three years to produce and then being so technologically behind-the-times (download some of the graphics and you’ll see what I mean).

That said, I do think kids will absolutely love the film because it’s one of only a handlful of animated features featuring Krishna or any other god, not to mention entirely colorful and thereby, visually stimulating (Jesus-cartoons of my youth were typically painted in olive-drab and sand-Saharan which subsequently resulted in a somewhat catatonic image-response)…Home.gif

That said, although I’m entirely tickled by all the animation coming out of India this year, in the end, I truly wish Sanjay Patel at Ghee Happy would grab some of his friends from Pixar and make a movie, a short, a YouTube flip-book… something.

Yup, the animation is pretty basic.
