Pakistan and 9/11

State Department docs declassified last week say Pakistan refused to help nail bin Laden before 9/11 (thanks, Ravi). The country reportedly supplied the Taliban with Pakistani soldiers, fuel and ammo. Here’s a ‘99 memo to the U.S. Secretary of State:

Kashmir militants funded by Pakistan also allegedly trained alongside Al Qaeda in Afghanistan:

Al-Qaeda and Pakistan government-funded Harakat ul-Ansar (HUA) have been sharing terrorist training camps in Taliban-controlled Afghanistan for years… and HUA has increasingly been moving ideologically closer to al-Qaeda. [Link]

Add to this the $100K that the head of the ISI allegedly wired to Mohammed Atta, and you’ve got to wonder just where the recent $10B sent to Pakistan is actually going.
