Please tees me (updated)

I keep running into Bombayites wearing random U.S. t-shirts like Hollister, California, or college campuses they’ve never been to. Where’s the hometown pride, yo?

Check out the Ultrabrown tees. You can choose your own color.

Also check out tees by Sepia Mutiny and Pardon My Hindi.

Update: Added some more designs. The references aren’t obscure, I hope, for those who read

Those t-shirts with the random US locations are probably made in India for export ;)

Why no shirts that say “Ultrabrown” with the rad banners?

I love how the Pink spaghetti strap says Mumbai, but the Chennai tee is more modest. You know thy market ;)

T-shirts with American logos/ cities/ sport teams are craze world wide.

Last month, I wore Sepia Mutiny “whazup” T-shirt in India. I think people smiled at me for that T-shirt. I thought girls liked it.

Why don’t you do a fund raiser for Mumbai Train victims?

    I’ll buy the T-shirt.

The margins are too thin to make much of a difference. You’d need to find a T-shirt vendor willing to donate nearly the entire price and a low-overhead charity directly involved in Mumbai. I’d contribute designs though if someone wanted to organize it.

    Manish-

Excellent job on the gear, as expected. I’m curious- what was the inspriration for the Biswas Builders shirt (as opposed to say, a Mukherjee Metals or something)? Married to a Biswas, I am totally thrilled and intrigued. Is there a story behind it or is it just a great shirt and nothing more?

Inspired by this. Other shirts are similarly lit-themed, thoughly admittedly obscure :) (Let me know if you need a hint…)
