When Amit Varma was in town a couple of weeks ago, Sree organized a meet ‘n greet at Leela Lounge. Some Ultrabrown readers showed up. The reason everyone looks bored is that Amit was holding forth on the Indian economy. Who can stop him?

Amit, these NYers are overstimulated by the city that never sleeps… it makes them a tough crowd. You should have done an interpretative dance expressing your outrage at the CPI’s actions in Nandigram.

Amit, it’s not you. It’s us. Really. Everyone looks kinda tired, because I’ve heard most never sleep in the city that never sleeps. More so since they (we) knew you were coming etc etc; most of the janta stayed up literally most of the night preparing special meals for you and what not! Some came from other states just to meet n greet with you. And what an experience that was.
Actually I heard someone say that those who managed to stay awake had a great time and would do it again, at the drop of the hat or a nickel or a paisa. So any news regarding the Indo-US N-deal? Thought you must know. Do share…..
