Katherine Heigl of Grey’s Anatomy wears a sari for her upcoming film 27 Dresses. From the looks of it, the wardrobe person has no idea on how one wears a sari.

Cicatrix tells me the Darjeeling Limited audition in New York involved a draft script where the girl in the train bathroom was ‘zipping up her sari’ :)
too bad..I remember reading somewhere on the web showing people how to wear a saree..too bad they like Indian costumes , bindis etc.,but dont wear them right..
from madonna to movies like music and lyrics they have indian costumes, culture, statues all over the place..
I got sarees for a lot of my american friends…At work every August 15th as a part of independence day celebrations we teach our american collegues at work how to tie a saree and how to put mehandi..In fact tomorrow we have a event at work as a part of Indian independence month where Iam going to show all american friends how to wear a saree and put mehandi/henna..
they all need a lil education
“McSecondPlace” Shashi Tharoor wet his pajamas in excitement on seeing these photos.
Rahul, did you wet your pajamas, or pants?
I know i am coming in late on this, and frankly don’t have much to add. But i would definitely like to ask all of you, all bloggers, readers, and whatever else you might call yourself - what is your problem? In the times of free press and expression, and internet blogging, and all that, why is it that a person expressing his ideas/opinions, so hard for you all to just read, ruminate and move on? You have to go all out to insult the person, call him names, and show your poor state of minds? Tolerance, people. RTFA (you figure out what that is if you can!) and you will see that he is just expressing his opinion, and if you don’t understand what is being said, read a comic book instead.
Enough said.
