Teabagged

Tavalon is movin’ on. Sonny Caberwal, he of the Kenneth Cole campaign, has closed his Union Square tea bar. Apparently the future of tea is online, which makes this Feb. 22 India Today story a little stale:

He co-owns the… Tavalon tea bar in New York and also runs a consulting business in San Francisco. [Link]

Zen Palate, the all-veg tofu joint in Union Square, also bites the dust. I won’t shed a tear for this one — the dishes were bland and squirrelly.

Previously: Building the pyramids, Boston tea party, Tealuxe, Tablas against teabags

I never understood Zen Palate. Its dishes were so much lamer than they should have been (although I never tasted squirrel there - was it soy squirrel?).

Have you moved back to NY, or are you just visiting?
