The long and blinding road

Happy pagan spring celebration of choice. Me, I’m off to find a bhang tablet from the local paanwalla. It’s harder than you might think in buttoned-up New Inglaaand.

For my money, the prettiest spring rituals are still those involving cherry blossoms:

The capital’s famous cherry trees are primed to burst out in a perfect pink peak about the end of this month. Thirty years ago, the trees usually waited to bloom till around April 5. [Link]

All hail global warming!

    Happy Holi Manish..Nice pictures..
we made bhang minus the intoxication material what ever they put in bhang( thandayi basically) at the temple today .. I volunteered so was busy in the temple kitchen and serving food to people, but temple in Indy had a lots of bhajans, prayers, chaat food, dance, song, music, holi ka dahan and color spraying and cultural show for Holi..It was very lively though I missed most of it I could hear everything from the loud speaker..someone did come and put some holi color on my face..Nice holi ,felt a lil bit like being at home..
