   In the Compound that I live in, there is a Reading Room filled with books left behind by Expats. I only give away books that I really don’t like at all; I hang on to just about everything. I couldn’t bear the thought of giving away Five Point Someone, have some stranger read it and form an opinion on Indian Literature. I tore that book to bits and dumped it in the bin. I’m confident Saraswati Devi will understand.

   Apparently the spam rating matched the book title, and got past the 5.0 threshold of most mail readers.

   My spam filter has surprisingly good taste.

   What does it think of Jhumpa?
