‘The President’ reloads quickly (updated)

In case you missed Anuvab’s play The President is Coming at the Writers Bloc festival , you can catch its small yet crucial commercial run starting this Sunday. It’s quite funny, and some of the actors are brilliant. I often rib Anuvab about how playwrights lose control of the final production compared to novelists, but the thespians the director cast add bushels of value.
My favorite is Vivek Gomber, a bearded, broad-shouldered actor playing a wanna-be American who’s a cross between the Dude from The Big Lebowski and the deadpan Val Kilmer in Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang. He’s closely matched by Anand Tiwari, who plays a jittery stock market scammer named Kapil Dev.
Just wanted to let you know about a play I’ve written that’s beginning a run in Bombay, after playing at The Writers Bloc Festival to reviews that, although diverse, agreed on “funny”… As Neil Simon once commented on plays in general and comedies in particular, “it is much funnier with people watching”… To that purpose… spread the word, informing friends, enemies, creditors…

Update: Sunday show is at 7.30, not 6.30; two more shows added on Apr. 3 and 4 at the NCPA Experimental Theatre.
