The shoe is on the other foot

I never really understood the Silicon Valley engineers crowding into Naz Cinema to watch cricket at 3 am until I tried to find a place showing the Super Bowl in Bombay today. After several texts and phone calls, a local five-star hotel said I could watch whatever the hell I want on their satellite feed if I show up at five in the morning. And luckily ESPN India’s showing it.

The American consulate is hosting a staff party showing the game on a military feed, but you need to come with an employee. It’s a small cultural grace, like the Indian consulate in NYC throwing a quiet Diwali party

Surely there’s an online feed available somewhere. Joost, perhaps?

I used to go to Shamiana at the Taj for a couple of years, there would always be a few other people to watch it with there. Than I started watching at home, and this year, for the first time in the 10 years since I moved to India, I didnt get up to watch the game at all. Thoroughly underwhelmed with the Bears and Colts. There was a yahoo feed available for regular season games (http://sports.yahoo.com/nflgamepass) that cost $200 for the year, but havent seen anything for the playoffs and superbowl.

I was looking for the same earlier, wanting my mom and cousins in India to watch the game. They did not watch the game finally but I managed to make my mom in India hear the joyful screams of colts fans in Indy through phone ( anyways my mom doesnot understand the game at all so it was ok)
Colts made my city Indianapolis Proud…we all here in Indy were praying for this victory…
