The zing thing
Goldspot performed at the One Tree music fest in Bombay yesterday at the BKC. A friend says, ‘He sang two songs in Hindi, and they performed a song from their upcoming album. Great fun.’ ‘Shukravar‘ is catchy even on crappy cell phone video:

Um. The sound is rather derivative, IMHO.

The name of the band is based on the zing thing drink that we used to enjoy growing up in India. Khosla had mentioned this in one of the interviews. He also said that he was a big fan of Goldspot (the drink) and used to have it regularly during his summer trips to India.
That Kittu Gidwani ad was awesome. I was in 1st grade when I first saw that ad ;)
