I've never heard this happening - at a guess it is a 'class' issue - normally the topic of discussion I suffer is the school one

Talking about consumer services, how is it going with CAS? From what I recollect at the turn of the year it was a mess, with relatively few people properly connected.

Another great thing that Manish does is to show you the parts of Mumbai which you know are there, but never see (because it takes over an hour to get anywhere) or notice (because of tunnel vision due to focus on task in hand)!

BTW, did the lunch buffet at Copper Chimney, Worli. Yummm. Lots of choice for R311, but beware of the crowds. Great deal!

There's no doubt Indian ads are some of the best in the world.

From a Western perspective what makes them different is that they are predominately visual - more often than not there is little text or spoken words. This is to allow the ads to work across all the different cultures/langauges/education levels within India.

Unfortunately I don't think these shots are going to increase the number of tourists coming to India ...

And you've got to 'feel' for these celebs, how can you 'chill' in Bombay when there are 50 people other than the paparazzi photographing you !

I was at an Indian Media and Entertainment conference this week. Lot of interesting stuff (explosion of channels, blah, blah)

Diving into this discussion I met a company that is claiming they will be rolling out IPTV in Bom and Delhi with 2 MPbs, using MTNL as last mile connection.

Terrible website: http://www.timebroadbandindia.com/about_us.html and I don't know about timing and pricing
