but you can’t keep a postcolonial theory student down

oh, but i like it like that.

In re your point about the 'other,' I think you might be one to something. As a DBD, my most significant early relationships were either with white males or totally whacked-out brown ones, so now that I'm with a DBD with fairly central tendencies (I don't mean bisexual :)) I find him really 'exotic' now.
.

for sake of argument, I could say is more important than how cute he is (very…sigh).

yes, you could say that. But as long as we agree you blaspheme only for argument's sake :)

Thanks for the tip about Emperor Minge. Now that I am in Delhi, I should make an effort to check them out. Plus, if they're serious about being Emperor of Minge, they must be super-feminist and such.

Dang, and this dominant Indian male was just beginning to like you.

Don't worry. Priya Rai and Sunny Leone attest to the popularity of Indian women amongst white men. Don't be jealous because brown dudes get game as well.

That is the salon staff sexist man list, not peep mag's. besides, there is something to be said for intelligent conversation. Indian women not digging Indian men is something I have never seen.

There is only one Journey. And Steve Perry is it's lead singer. But this dude comes the closest to replicating Steve's pipes.

few Indian or Asian women see it or at least admit to seeing it

What Indian women have you been speaking to?

You aren't attracted to Indian dudes, that's fine. But questioning non-Indian women who are into Indian men is just scorched earth.

Great write-up on Bioscope, which has proven truly enticing. Its Phalke clips are the first Indian silent cinema I've seen and I look forward to our local 3rdi Film Festival's seminar on Indian silent cinema this coming Spring. Your site is wonderfully informative. Thank you.
